Cleanroom lighting guide

How to Choose Cleanroom LED Lighting

Cleanroom lighting should be selected as part of the ceiling, cleaning and maintenance plan—not as an isolated fixture. Start with the room conditions and installation method, then compare the construction and verified specifications of each luminaire.

1. Define the installation environment

Document the room use, ceiling system, cleaning method, available mounting space and maintenance access before choosing a fixture. Laboratories, healthcare rooms and controlled production areas can have different priorities even when they use similar ceiling layouts.

  • Confirm whether the luminaire will be recessed, surface mounted or suspended.
  • Record the ceiling opening or available mounting dimensions.
  • Identify moisture, dust and cleaning requirements that must be addressed by verified product documentation.

2. Select the right construction

Slim cleanroom panels suit low-profile ceiling installations. Curved housings reduce ledges and simplify surface cleaning. Teardrop and linear formats can support production-line layouts, while traditional serviceable luminaires may be preferred when access to replaceable lamps is important.

Liangmeiju offers waterproof, beveled-edge, straight-edge, recessed and stainless-edge cleanroom panels, together with curved, teardrop and traditional cleanroom luminaires.

3. Compare verified specifications

Use the project lighting calculation and the manufacturer’s confirmed data to compare power, dimensions, light output, color characteristics, ingress protection and electrical options. Do not select from wattage alone.

  • Match physical dimensions to the ceiling and access conditions.
  • Request the current datasheet for photometric and electrical details.
  • Confirm any required test reports or declarations for the destination market before ordering.

4. Prepare a useful supplier inquiry

Send the room type, installation method, target quantity, destination country and preferred model. Drawings or ceiling photographs help the supplier confirm the most suitable format and prepare an accurate quotation.
